Thokarwadi - A Deserted Dam! Taluka Maval, Dist.Pune

Sheer driving pleasure & view of dried up dam can be seen on a round ride of Thokarwadi Dam.
It all starts once you leave old Mumbai-Pune Highway at Kanhe-phata towards the dam. The entire journey is to see the dam from all the direction by a round journey. It just like a circle to the dam & its backwater stretch.
The time we left highway, it was around 1 pm & certainly we were looking for a small Dhaba kind of hotel to dine-in as we planned lunch on the way there. Our stomachs were starved to dried up but it was nothing to what we saw, an entire backwater area of the dam deserted. The land must be starved & dried up to death seeking its stomach to be filled with heavy rains.
The scenes and the roads are mesmerizing, we have visited this place in 1st week of June16, the entire backwater area of dam were deserted. I have not seen such misfortune around city like Pune. The whole journey was surrounded by trees, hills & cliffs on one side & the other side is of the backwater. Not at all crowded, no villages, no pollution, no traffic but still unfortunate desert land, certainly not expected at such rich natural area. But the beauty of a huge area, a complete landscape view of the deserted land was really awesome.
I roam around Pune & saw most of the dams small & big, all those are always blessed with water. We can see the level has gone down during summer but a desert was really surprising. I must say that Pune has got rich with natural surrounding like water, hills, tropical areas situated within Sahyadri mountain ranges. No disappointments in any season. A perfect place for everyone especially trekkers & nature lovers.
As a rider I always desire for long ride full of amazement with a glimpse of natural sceneries. I wish to ride through Ghats, a long stretch to speed at its best, pass by some small forest area, surrounded by hills & a river to pass along with some best spots to halt & capture. On my journey I also crave for some good taste of local specialties.
If you are planning to visit Thokarwadi Dam, let me tell you about the round trip of dam. It takes almost 3 hours from Kanhe-phata highway to highway. The entire road condition is very well, no patches nor breaks. Even there is not much crossing roads to get confused, a single road give you peace of mind. Let me also warn you that there is no single hotel which fulfills your tummy, but I must recommend a visit to such an unfortunate deserted dam. Great landscape views & some new species of trees can be found.  A lonely planet & a peaceful 1 day tour around Pune. Many options for trekkers and bachelors even a great place for campfire with a group of friends.
Just imagine a campfire in the middle of a deserted dam.

I pray to god for heavy rains to fulfill what the dam desires.

Pune To Kanyakumari Road Trip Fever

Travelling from so many years, hanging out with friends in search of new places, I found that I actually implement  some of my treasured thinking. Away from day to day chats & whatsapps, I found that I can get relax & philosophise, because while traveling we are having long rides to peep out of window & explore ourselves.

After reaching out to our destination we witness the beauty of the nature. Sometimes we lost into it so deeply that we can't even describe our own situation & when we come back to our routine we realize that we have actually found inner peace at that point in time.

That's where you start your journey of Wandering and habituated with Travelling. Because once you are bitten by the inner peace, It is you who will always carry the Torch in search of the inner peace.

I must say that over the years travel will help you to become a better & improved personality, because travel teaches us to Value the experiences more than our routine life.

When it comes to me personally, I feel proud & lucky to have a very supportive family & friends who share my dream & are encouraging. Not everyone has that.

I always look at the brighter side, because I have also been accused of high maintenance few times when things didn't go according to plan while traveling. Just to share a recent plan failure, that we woke up in the morning @4 and started driving at 5am. We were planned to visit Zenith  Waterfall but the biggest joke happened to me was not a single drop of water just a month after rainy season. My friends were about to kill me & I was like; come on man how would I know.

Some times we have to face bad experiences when we went out for exploring. But trust me, Once an Explorer! Always an Explorer!! Because once you have explored any new places, I bet that you can't stop yourself, because exploring new places puts life into you! It becomes another reason for living!!

Let me also tell you the secret about what happens after exploring new places. There are two kind of personalities, 1 who don't share the location of new places and wanted to keep it as much personal as they can, they want to enjoy the same peace and live naturally everytime they visit. They have fear of getting things changed, And why not?
On the other hand second personality people actually feel proud to share their experiences, they want others to feel lost into beauty and peace of nature they have lived. And thanks to social media who have played a vital role in this exploring new places passion. I would rather say the only motivational factor behind exploring new places is social media, because people are bitten by exploring new places and proud to launch it on their name first.

Now I'm planning for a road trip which will be like never before. It's my dream to drive as many kilometers I can, covering one of the end point on map of India in much lesser time. This time we're planning the same in 4 days to the south most point of the country i.e. Kanyakumari. Nevertheless this is just the beginning with Too much excitement and same passion for driving awaiting the big day.

4 friends will enjoy 4 days in a 4 Wheeler for almost 4000 kms. Kudos!!!

#Travel is Priceless

Travel !!!

It gives you an education that you can't get in any school.

It gives you experiences, insight and memories that will enrich your life beyond measure.

It helps you to relate to people who think and live differently from you in some way, and become less self centered.

It increases your creativity by installing in your mind that 'your way', the way you've always been taught and the way everyone at home does it, is far from being 'the only way' and quite likely not 'the best way' either.

It makes you more resourceful by forcing you to adapt to unfamiliar people and situations.

But note, all this is only true if you travel independently and with an open mind.

I'm not talking about the kind of travel where you go on a package tour, a cruise, or to some all-in resort where you're surrounded by your compatriots, eat the same food that you'd eat at home, and take every chance to get drunk. You might get some rest and recreation from that kind of trip, a momentary change of pace, or some 'eye candy' from sightseeing. Nothing wrong with that at all, but you won't get the life-changing benefits that I'm referring to that way.

I recommend that you take a few risks and do it on your own or with good friends who are of a like mind.

Finally, if at all possible, travel when you're young. Don't wait until you're retired, as many do. That way you can take all of the insight you'll get on your adventures and apply it to your career and daily life. You will certainly not regret that.

'Young' here I referred as your young blood. The adrenaline moments can only be tasted with your young blood.

One will grow by his age but travel has something amazing in it, because when it comes to travel it's the blood who is always young & not the age.

#Relationship with #Books

Every year we bought new books as per academic syllabus. Books changes by every year, they see each hand, each bag, they travel along with us in our journey of life unconditionally. In the journey of life as we grow, passes each class they support us without any demand.

I believe no one will deny that "Books are the secret of our success."

Every year somebody scores high whereas someone celebrates because at least he passed. What does a book feel if someone gets failed! At least for the sake of that sad feeling of the book, I suggest all of you to promote reading to feel the bonding with Books.

I still remember Maths was my favourite subject across the standards. I used to be so much excited while learning new formulas, new numbers, the calculations & multiplications, all those gives me immense pleasure every time.

On second thought today I feel that there was an unconditional relationship has built between me & the book, and I bet that everyone of us has one favourite subject or the book every year that we love to read all the time. If you love the book, you care for the book, or you design the book by writing on every page of it or something you unhesitatingly do to leave your marks on the books because it's your favourite book that you love.

Every year we design the book & it's a process that we follow, keep on leaving marks on our favourite book. After years of doing so we have left our marks on the pages of books which will remind us the moments that we have gone through while reading the book. Sometimes we give ourselves that childish moment back, happiness & smile on our stressful face today. You can remind yourself how you used to behave at times, what was your feeling at that you designed the book. You can actually feel the bonding & relationship of yourself with that of book.

It is exactly the same thing what motivated me to write this. While to get this kind of feeling you have to dump the books which you have stored for years. We actually don't enjoy this kind of feeling, but as a common life if we don't move & flow with it, we become disconnected from it!

In simple sentence, we don't dare to keep stack of books, rather we don't have much space in our living room to keep those books. At one point of time you will be provoked by thoughts or comments of your life partner to break the relationship with your books. It doesn't mean that we don't have any more space in our heart for those old partner of our life, we still remember those old partner when we saw those in some others hand.
